Inclement Weather Information

Notification of Closings

When school needs to be closed or delayed the information will be available in the following ways:

  1. You will receive a text message and voicemail alert through ParentsWeb. Please make sure all contact information is up to date. Parents may update their own contact information by logging in to RenWeb. Email Principal Schafer if you have any questions or need help updating your contact information.
  2. Go to the WV Department of Education website.
  3. Check our school Facebook page.
  4. Check the local TV Stations: WOWK, WCHS, and WSAZ

Snow days are challenging for everyone. Bible Center has a practice of being open if at all possible. Generally we will close only in extreme conditions.

Decisions about closings or delays will be made by 6 AM on the day in question.

Bible Center School does not necessarily follow the Kanawha County closings. If the school day has been placed on a 2 hour delay, the school administration will make a decision to close the school for the remainder of the day before 8:30 AM.

BCS does not dismiss early due to weather. All families should make the safest decision when deciding whether or not to attend school on days with inclement weather.
