CAREER EXPLORATION

Career planning is a process that should begin before high school, and most naturally should continue into the college years. Students should reflect on their faith, personality, and strengths. Hands-on experience through internships, job shadowing, or volunteering are excellent ways to test your interest in a real-world setting before committing long-term. BCHS allows students to have early access to job shadowing and volunteering as part of their yearly GO WEEK experience. Career planning allows students the opportunity to evaluate themselves and their career options as they grow in their relationship with Jesus, and have life and learning experiences. Students at BCHS maintain career plans and goals as part of their Personalized Education Plan (see Documents and Forms).
