High School Counseling

Dual Enrollment
Dual enrollment allows high school students to earn college credit by taking approved college-level courses that count toward both high school and future degree requirements. Dual enrollment gives students early exposure to college academics, helps them explore career and academic interests, strengthens college applications, and can reduce the time and cost of earning a degree. The BCHS counselor guides students through eligibility requirements, course selection, credit transfer considerations, and alignment with long-term academic goals. BCHS provides both in-person and online DE courses through partnerships with colleges. These classes are based on availability. To enroll, students must maintain a 3.0 weighted GPA and receive a recommendation by the High School counselor. Students may become eligible to take dual enrollment courses during their sophomore year.
