At BCS, we believe that all areas of student life are important and deserve attention as we focus education on not just academics, but also on the hearts and character of our students.
One way we do this is through Middle School Advisory Groups. Students are broken up into small groups, each of which are led by a faculty or staff member. Groups meet weekly for discussion on real-life topics in a safe space where questions and tough conversations are welcome. These groups cultivate life-long friendships as they spend time in community each week, learning the power of positive peer pressure and the value of mentoring younger students.
